You don't need to have everything figured out

When I was younger, everyone told me to finish high school, attend university, get a job, get married, get kids, etc. But life is not all about that. We are not here just to follow the norms. Life is about being truly happy, travelling (it does not have to be international, just getting out of your town/city), experiencing different cultures and languages, and doing what you love.

I was scared not to go to university directly after high school because society says you must study first. But let me tell you, my gap year was amazing. I learned so much about myself and life. I got to experience different cultures and languages. See incredible places, and I made friends for life.

Now, I am 21 years old. I have seen and experienced so much already in my life. I'm happy. I'm studying. I have many dreams and goals I still want to achieve, and I will work extremely hard to achieve them. The moral of the story is do not stress about something you cannot control. I know it is easier said than done. I realized that stress makes me unhappy and angry, and it does not get me anywhere. So breathe and let go. Everything will work out as it should, and there's a reason for everything.

Here are some of my favourite Bible verses for situations I have no control over:

Luke 1:45 - "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfil what he has spoken to her!"

Proverbs 19:21 - "Many plans are in a man's mind, But it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand."

Proverbs 16:9 - "A man's mind plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them."

Isaiah 12:2 - "Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, For the Lord God is my strength and song; Yes, He has become my salvation."
