Marta García made history in F1 Academy



The young Spanish driver, Marta García, won the first F1 Academy championship at the Circuit of the Americas. She won the title after her incredible P1 finish in race one. With only one race to go in the 2023 season, García stands on 261 points.


Marta started her career in karting, and in 2015, she won the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy and the Trofeo delle Industrie. Then, in 2016, she raced in Spanish F4, and in 2019, she raced in the W Series. Marta is currently racing for PREMA in F1 Academy.


F1 Academy debuted in 2023 with 15 female drivers and five teams. There are 21 races across seven rounds on Formula One tracks such as Monza, Spielberg, Zandvoort and Austin. The 2024 season calendar has big changes. The big changes include races in new places such as Saudi Arabia, Miami, Singapore, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.


Additionally, during the 2024 season, each Formula One team will have an F1 Academy driver racing with their livery.
