Summer vacation in the USA

My mom, brother, and I travelled to the USA for three weeks. We saw six states and made two road trips. Exploring the USA was fun, and it felt like I was in a movie the whole time.

We started at Newark, NJ, where I picked them up from the airport. We went to IHOP for Breakfast and relaxed at our Airbnb for the rest of the day. I was extremely happy because I had not seen him for six months.

We went to New York City for a day and walked over 20000 steps that day. We saw Times Square, Central Park, the 9/11 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Library, etc. We ate iconic hotdogs in Central Park and huge pizza slices. At the end of the day, I took them to a Baseball Game to see The Mets play. My brother was in his element!

The next day we started our road trip from Newark, NJ, to Buffalo, NY and back. Niagara Falls was on my mom’s bucket list. I was speechless when I saw Niagara Falls. It is so beautiful. We went to the Cave of the Winds, and that was an awesome experience! We loved every moment. We were soaking wet, but the experience was once in a lifetime.

We flew from Newark, NJ, to Los Angeles, CA. I was in my happy place. I’ve always wanted to visit California. We spent a few days in LA. The first thing we did after we arrived was go to Venice Beach and eat In-n-Out Burgers.

We went to Santa Monica for a day and visited the Santa Monica Pier, which was on my bucket list. My brother and I bought the unlimited ride wristband. It was definitely worth the money, since we spent the entire day on the pier.

All of us wanted to see Malibu. Who does not want to see Malibu? We went to El Matador State Beach for beautiful pictures. We spent two days at Zuma Beach. We packed snacks for the whole day and just relaxed on the beach. Malibu brought back good memories of family vacations when I was younger.

After LA, we took a four-day road trip. We started in LA and stayed two nights in Chloride, AZ. The town is so small that they do not have a gas station. Chloride was great, the people were super nice, and we actually saw stars at night.

Then we went to Las Vegas, NV. On our way there, we stopped at Hoover Dam. It was a very hot day, so we took some pictures and left again. In Las Vegas, we went on the High Roller. That was a cool experience. You see the whole city, which is surrounded by the desert. That night we went to Downtown Las Vegas and had pizza. Vegas is amazing! There are many things going on simultaneously, so many things to see and do.

The next day we went to the Grand Canyon and stayed the night in the cutest motel on Route 66. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking. We spent more time there than we had planned, but it was amazing!

We returned to LA for one night and flew back to Newark, NJ. The three weeks travelling through the USA was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I loved showing my family around and experience exploring new places together.
