Spending your weekend at Dubai 7s
Plan the weekend
To start the weekend, you need tickets. Entry is free on Thursday, but you need to register for tickets. For Friday and Saturday, single-day and weekend passes are available. The link below directs you to the ticket page.
Get ready for the weekend
Do yourself a favour and attend Thursday. The energy is great, and it is a good way to start the weekend. You can watch Netball, Rugby and Cricket games. Thursday is the main day for all the invitational games; this means smaller teams from around the world and the UAE are playing. Friday, all the hype starts, and it is time for the international teams to play. The DJ keeps the spectators alive and keeps the energy good. Saturday is the big day. The energy and nerves are high, as everyone wants their country to win the Dubai 7s. Throughout the weekend, there are also lots of activities for everyone. There is a kids zone, a photo booth by DHL, a merch store, and so much more.
Need to know and what to bring
- Bring cash and your card to avoid disappointment. There is no ATM available on site. The food and drinks are somewhat expensive, but it is part of the experience. Food ranges from around 30-50aed for a meal and drinks are around 10aed.
- If you want to have Wi-Fi, buy a data bundle as the Wi-Fi there is not really strong.
- Bring sunscreen and a hat!!! (I learnt my lesson by not wearing sunscreen and looking like a tomato)
- It gets hot during the day, so wear comfortable clothing that is not too warm. I advise you to wear comfortable shoes because you will probably walk a lot.
- Download the app to make the weekend easier for you with easy access to your tickets, the schedule, entertainment and more.
- Remember to wear your country's colours proudly.
Time for the weekend
Lastly, bring your energy and rugby jersey and enjoy every moment! Please remember to drink lots of water and use sunscreen.
NOTE: Dubai 7s make it possible for fans to meet their favourite rugby players, but please remember to be respectful and respect their privacy when needed. Other than that, go up and ask for a picture. They are super kind and love to meet fans.
