It’s lights out, and away you go to your first Formula One Grand Prix.

You are probably super excited and nervous about the unknown, but I am here to help you. The most important thing is to check the weather of the country your GP is in and read the rules of the circuit you are going to. Plan ahead and arrive early to the circuit to avoid long lines. Bring a small backpack with your necessities. Here is a checklist for you to pack:

  • Phone

  • Ticket (print and download it)

  • Parking/Travel ticket

  • Cash and Card (PS: Food, drinks and merch are expensive)

  • Camera

  • Portable charger

  • Water bottle

  • Headphones or earplugs (for sensitive ears)

  • Hat

  • Sunscreen

  • Hand sanitiser

  • Deodorant

  • Sunglasses

  • F1 app

  • Circuit map

  • Circuit app

It is also essential to know what to wear. Always wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will walk a lot, and you want to be comfortable. Remember a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. Remember to bring a jacket or raincoat if your GP is during the rainy season.

Next, you need to know what to do. First, arrive early to avoid long lines and ensure your ticket works. Then, when you arrive early, you have time to wander, explore, and find your seat.

Finally, enjoy every moment and take it all in. It is an amazing experience to see the fastest cars in the world and hear the incredible sound it makes.
